This journey takes travellers on foot through the mountains and forests of Viet Bac while learning about places associated with the modern history of Vietnam. After the journey, guests will gain a profound understanding of the resilience, wisdom and stature of President Ho Chi Minh, one of Vietnam’s most important historical symbols. This journey combines light trekking, nature exploration and historical stories told at the very places connected with the events, creating an authentic, intimate and deeply emotional experience. During the journey, guests will have the opportunity to come closer to the stories, people and values that have shaped the identity of the Viet Bac region, from Tan Trao, a land associated with important chapters in Vietnam’s history, to Na Hang – Thuong Lam, an area distinguished by limestone mountains, lake landscapes and villages of local communities.
05:00: The vehicle and tour guide will pick you up at the designated meeting point in Hanoi and depart for the Tan Trao Special National Historical Site. The group will stop for breakfast at a restaurant along the way.
08:00: Arrive at the Tan Trao Special National Historical Site. Guests will offer incense in remembrance at Na Nua Hut. The incense-offering activity is commemorative and is carried out on a voluntary basis. The tour guide will provide an introduction to the ceremony and the appropriate rules of conduct at the historical site.
08:30: Begin the journey: MARCHING IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF PRESIDENT HO CHI MINH • At Na Nua Hut, guests will hear an explanation about the period when President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked there and prepared for the August General Uprising of 1945. • Continue along dirt roads and trails through the natural forest towards ATK Dinh Hoa. • Continue the journey along small trails beneath the forest canopy, passing through bamboo forests and mountainous landscapes. • Travel deeper into the vast, green and shaded bamboo forest. • After crossing the forest and wading through streams, guests will arrive at ATK Dinh Hoa in Thai Nguyen, where vast green tea hills can be seen.
10:30: At the end of the walking route, guests will travel to the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial House at Deo De, located within the ATK Dinh Hoa Special National Historical Site. The group will offer incense in remembrance of President Ho Chi Minh at the Memorial House.
12:00: Arrive at a local restaurant in the Deo De area. Guests will have lunch featuring dishes inspired by the simple food of the resistance period and prepared with local ingredients.
13:00: Board the vehicle and depart for Thuong Lam.
17:00: Arrive in Thuong Lam. After checking in at the homestay, guests may take a short walk around the village with the tour guide if time and daylight conditions permit.
19:00: Have dinner at the homestay featuring traditional Tay dishes.
20:00: Take part in a cultural exchange program featuring Then singing, the Tinh lute and traditional dance performances. Overnight at a homestay in Thuong Lam.

07:00: Wake up, have breakfast at the homestay and check out.
08:30: The vehicle will take guests to Thuong Lam boat pier. Begin the journey to explore Na Hang – Lam Binh Lake: • Admire the majestic mountains reflected on the surface of the lake. • Experience the vast and peaceful natural landscape. • Stop to admire the scenery and take photographs at Coc Vai Pha, one of the symbols of the Na Hang – Lam Binh lake area.
09:00: Enjoy the scenery and take photos at Cọc Vài Phạ, one of the symbols of the Na Hang – Lâm Bình lake area. You are free to admire the majestic mountain landscape, the blue lake and the rocky cliffs rising from the water. In particular, you will have the opportunity to experience kayaking/SUP, relax and enjoy the scenery in the middle of the lake, immersing yourself in the pristine and magnificent natural surroundings.
10:00: The boat arrives at Khuoi Nhi Waterfall. Guests will walk along a trail to explore the forest landscape and the waterfall. Depending on weather conditions, water levels and the tour guide’s safety assessment, guests may soak their feet in the permitted area and observe small fish swimming around their feet. Guests must not swim or enter the water in areas where they have not been instructed to do so.
12:00: Have lunch on the boat during the journey back to the pier.
13:00: The boat arrives at the pier. Guests will board the vehicle and depart for Hanoi. The group will stop for a rest at a suitable location along the way. The group is expected to arrive in Hanoi at approximately 19:00, depending on traffic conditions. End of the program.
